- Elections were announced. Open positions include President and
Director of Publicity (these are elected positions) and SET Aide and Special
Events Coordinator (these require interviews). If you are interested in the
interviewed positions, please stop by the ASWI office (room 202, upstairs in
the Union) to pick up an application. All of these positions are paid minimum
wage, and require that you be present at all the general meetings (Wednesdays
at 4:00).
- The film "Made in L.A./Hecho en Los Angeles) will be showing tomorrow (Thursday,
the 24th) in the Liberal Arts building, room 135, at 7:00PM. This documentary follows
the lives of three Latina immigrant women working in garment factories.
- Katrina from the local dance troupe Spitfury, is holding an event called SheBop
II this Saturday, the 26th.. SheBop II offers the opportunity to buy queer-friendly
sex toys, a self-exam workshop, herbal health remedies, and refreshments. If you want
more information, contact Katrina at (928) 226-0172. The event takes place at 23 W.
Cedar Ave #1 (one street north of the hospital).
- A reminder! The Sex Workers Art Show is returning to NAU this Friday (the 25th).
It will be in the DuBois Center ballroom. Doors open at 7:00PM. Tickets are $8 with
an NAU ID, and $10 without.
